미들 파워

미들 파워 ( 英語 : middle power ) 또는 中堅國 (中堅國)은 國際的 影響力을 가지고 있는 나라를 說明하는 用語이다. 이에 對한 明確한 定義는 없고, 仲裁와 仲介 機能을 强調하여 仲介國 (仲介國, 英語 : nation as an arbitrator )이라고도 부른다. 國內에서도 一定한 번역어가 없으며, 一部 學者들은 中間程度 되는 國家라는 中間國의 잘못된 뉘앙스를 憂慮하며, 强大國 에 못미치는 國家를 일컫는 情誼를 考慮하여 中間國 이라고 부르는 學者들도 있으나 미들파워라는 表現 自體는 明確히 定해진 것이 없는 表現이다.
