2011年 - 2012年: 結成 - 데뷔 [ 編輯 ]

2011年 老웨스트 크리스천 칼리지(Norwest Christian College)에 다니고 있던 루크 헤밍스, 마이클 클리포드, 캘럼 후드로부터 始作한 5SOS는 루크의 유튜브 채널에 有名한 曲들을 커버한 映像을 올리며 밴드 活動을 始作하였다. 14歲였던 루크의 첫 映像은 2011年 2月 3日 업로드된 마이크 포즈너 Please Do not Go 의 커버 曲이며 크리스 브라운 Next to You 의 커버는 600,000 以上의 照會 數를 받았다. [1] [2] 2011年 12月, 드러머 애쉬턴 語源이 밴드에 들어오면서 4人組 밴드가 完成되었다. [3] [4]

5SOS는 메이저 레이블 들로부터 關心을 끌었고 소니/ATV 뮤직 퍼블리싱 과 契約을 맺었다. [5] 또한, 페이스북 과 트위터 以外의 弘報가 없었음에도 첫 番째 EP 人 Unplugged 는 오스트레일리아 의 아이튠즈 차트 에서 3位를 記錄하였고 뉴질랜드 와 스웨덴 에서도 20位圈을 記錄하였다. 2013年 2月 14日, 원 디렉션의 월드 투어인 테이크 美 홈 투어(Take Me Home Tour)에 參與하는 것을 發表하였고 英國 , 美國 , 오스트레일리아 , 뉴질랜드 에서의 公演에 參與하였다. [8] 테이크 美 홈 투어(Take Me Home Tour) 以後 오스트레일리아로 歸國하여 全國 헤드라이닝 투어를 열었으며 票는 몇 分 만에 賣盡되었다. 테이크 美 홈 투어(Take Me Home Tour)와 全國 헤드라이닝 투어 以後 5SOS는 人氣를 얻으며 有名해지기 始作하였다. [9] 2013年 11月 21日, 캐피톨 레코드 와 契約을 맺었다고 發表하였다. [10]

2014年 2月 5日, 아이튠즈 스토어 를 통해 싱글 She Looks So Perfect 를 事前豫約注文을 받았다. [11] 2014年 3月 5日, 美國 , 캐나다 , 英國 과 유럽 에서 열리는 원 디렉션의 2014 웨어 위 아 투어(Where We Are Tour)에 다시 한 番 參與할 것이라고 發表했다. [12] 2014年 4月 9日, 세 番째 EP인 She Looks So Perfect 가 빌보드 200 에서 2位를 記錄하였고, 같은 해 5月 9日, 두 番째 싱글인 Don't Stop 을 發表하여 英國 싱글 차트 에서 2位를 記錄하였다. [13] [14]

2014年 6月 27日, 첫 番째 셀프 타이틀 正規 앨범인 5 Seconds of Summer 를 發賣하여 케랑! 賞을 受賞 했으며 빌보드 차트 에서 1位, 13個國에서 1位 그리고 26個國에서도 10位圈을 記錄하였다. [15]

2015年 5月, 유럽, 오스트레일리아, 뉴질랜드, 北美 에서 열리는 첫 헤드라이닝 투어 Rock Out with Your Socks Out Tour를 始作하였다. [17] [18] 7月 17日, 두 番째 正規앨범의 曲인 She's kinda Hot 을 싱글로 發表하였고, 같은 해 10月 9日, Sounds Live Feels Live World Tour가 2016年 아시아 , 英國, 아일랜드 , 北美 等에서 열릴 것이라고 發表하였다. [19] [20]

2015年 10月 23日, 두 番째 正規 앨범이 되는 Sounds Good Feels Good 을 發表하였다. [21] 映畫 고스트버스터즈 의 사운드 트랙 Ghostbusters (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)에 收錄되는 Girls Talk Boys 를 2016年 7月 15日 發賣하였다. [22]

2017年 1月 13日 發賣된 ONE OK ROCK 의 8輯, Ambitions의 14番 트랙 Take What You Want에 피쳐링으로 參與하였다.

같은 해 4月 13日, 5SOS가 包含된  펜타포트 落 페스티벌  1車라인업이 公開되어 來韓이 確定되었다. 2017 펜타포트 록 페스티벌은 8月 11日부터 13日까지 열리며 5SOS는 13日 公演이다.

2018年 2月 22日, 새 싱글 Want You Back 을 發賣하였다. [23]
