이라크
가 세운 傀儡 政權이자 自治的 民主 國家였다. 侵攻 當時 이라크 革命 議會는 쿠웨이트 內部의 革命 勢力이 쿠데타를 일으키기를 願했다. 自由 쿠웨이트 臨時 政府가 8月 4日 이라크 政府의 承認 下에 樹立되었고, 9名의 軍部가 공화 政府의 首長이 되었다. 알라 후세인 알리는 쿠웨이트 共和國의 總理로 卽位했다.
