존 폴킹魂 (The Reverend Canon John Polkinghorne KBE FRS, 1930年 10月 16日 ~ 2021年 3月 9日 )은 英國의 理論物理學 者이자 神學者 , 聖公會 私製 이다. 아서 피콕 , 이언 바버 等과 더불어 科學과 宗敎의 關係 分野의 代表的인 思想家로 꼽힌다.

1968年부터 1979年까지 케임브리지 大學校 에서 數理物理學 을 가르쳤으며 1982年에는 聖公會 私製 敍品을 받았다. 1988年부터 1996年까지는 케임브리지 大學校 퀸즈 칼리지 學長을 지냈다. ^[1] 1997年 大英 帝國 勳章 (KBE: Knight Commander of Order of the British Empire)을 받았으며 2002年에는 템플턴상 을 受賞했다. ^[2] 기포드 講演 (1993年 ~ 1994年), ^[3] 테리 講演 (1996年 ~ 1997年)의 講演者였으며 ^[4] 런던 王立學會 會員의 碩學會員이기도 하다(FRS : Fellow of the Royal Society).
