로젠버그 夫婦

에델 그린글래스 로젠버그 ( 英語 : Ethel Greenglass Rosenberg , 1915年 9月 28日 ~ 1953年 6月 19日 )와 줄리어스 로젠버그 ( 英語 : Julius Rosenberg , 1918年 5月 12日 ~ 1953年 6月 19日 )는 美國 의 共産主義者 였으며 蘇聯 에 스파이 行爲를 했다는 罪目으로 起訴되어 死刑당했다. 이는 美國歷史上 처음으로 스파이 嫌疑로 民間人을 死刑執行한 事例였다. ^[1]

로젠버그 夫婦가 正말로 間諜인지 아니면 抑鬱하게 陋名을 쓴 것인지에 對해서는 意見이 紛紛하였다. 以後公開된 情報에 따르면 줄리어스가 蘇聯을 위해 情報를 傳達하는 等의 行爲를 한 것에, 에델이 聯關되었다는 뚜렷한 證據는 없었으나 後에 間諜罪로 30年을 宣告 받고 17年 9個月을 服役했던 Morton Sobell 이 2008年 9月 11日 뉴욕타임즈와의 인터뷰에서 그와 줄리어스 로젠버그는 스파이 였음을 認定했다. 또한 이들이 原子爆彈에 必要한 情報를 넘겼다는 嫌疑를 받았는데, 니키타 흐루쇼프 는 "原子爆彈生産을 앞당기는데 매우 큰 도움을 주었다"는 메모를 남겼으나 ^[2], 이에 反하여 實際로는 도움이 되지 않거나 아예 原子爆彈과 相關 없는 情報였다는 證言도 存在한다. ^[2]^[3]
