言語障壁

言語障壁 은 主로 커뮤니케이션 에 對한 言語的障壁, 卽元來 다른 言語 를 使用하는 사람이나 集團이 經驗하는 意思疏通의 어려움, 甚至於 어떤 境遇에는 方言 을 가리키는 데 使用되는 比喩的인 文句이다. ^[1]^[2]^[3]

言語障壁은 對人關係形成을 妨害하고 誤解를 불러일으켜 葛藤 , 挫折 , 攻擊, 暴力 , 感情的傷處를 招來하고 時間, 努力, 돈, 人間의 삶을 浪費하게 할 수 있다. ^[4]

한 環境에 여러 言語가 存在하는 境遇에는 言語障壁도 여러 個 있을 것이라고 假定하는 境遇가 있다. 多國語社會에는 一般的으로 링舊痾 프랑카와 構成員들이 하나 以上의 言語, 卽適應을 배우는 傳統이 있다. 理解의 障壁을 完全히 除去하지는 못하지만, 通過할 수 없는 言語障壁이라는 槪念을 否定하는 것이다. ^[5]

例를 들어, 런던에서만 約 250個의 다양한 言語가 使用되지만 平均的으로 모든 人種 그룹의 構成員은 英國社會에 同化되어 生産的인 構成員이 된다. ^[6]

言語障壁은 醫療 서비스 利用에 影響을 미칠 수 있다. 例를 들어, 한 硏究에 따르면 文化 및 言語障壁에 直面한 파키스탄系英國人女性은 乳房檢診이 女性專用環境에서 實施된다는 事實을 모르기 때문에 參席할 可能性이 적었다. ^[7]^[8]^[9]
