半날개賞과

像과의 하나이다. 全 世界에 分布하는 매우 크고 다양한 種으로 이루어진 分類群이다.

大部分의 半날개賞과 種은 中間 또는 작은 크기의 딱정벌레이며 한 雙의 짧은 딱지날개를 갖고 있다. 뒷날개는 背面에 어떤 補助 突出部度 없으며, 쐐기 細胞와 頂端 細胞도 없다. 가슴의 여덟番째 마디는 일곱番째 마디 안으로 完全히 들어기지 않는다.
