超心理學 (超心理學; 英語 : parapsychology )은 超感覺的 知覺 , 念力 , 죽음 後의 意識의 生存 을 비롯한 超常現象 (超常現象) 事件을 硏究하는 學問이다. 超心理學者들은 이러한 過程들을 psi 라 부른다. psi는 心理過程을 隨伴하지 않는 敍述的인 表現을 위해 考案된 用語이다. [1]

超心理學 硏究는 全 世界 一部 大學과 個人 投資 硏究所에서 遂行되는 硏究室 硏究, 現地 調査와 같은 다양한 方式을 同伴한다. [2] 비록 지난 여러 해에 비해 오늘날 超心理學 硏究를 活潑하게 支援하는 大學校는 거의 없지만 말이다. 이러한 硏究는 專門的인 超心理學 出版物을 통해 出版되지만 더 적은 數의 超心理學 硏究 文件들이 主流 定期 刊行物에 나타나기도 한다. 超心理學을 통해 遂行되는 實驗들은 亂數 發生機 (random number generator)를 使用하여 精神力行事의 證據를 試驗해 왔고, 感覺 喪失의 겐즈펠드 實驗 을 使用하여 超感覺的 知覺을 試驗해왔으며 美國 政府와의 契約 下에 遂行되는 여러 硏究 試圖를 통해 리모트 뷰잉 의 可能性을 探究해왔다.

超心理學은 美國科學振興回 가 適法한 科學 分野로 認定하고 있긴 하지만 活動 中인 超心理學者들은 科學者들이 이러한 硏究를 받아들이는 데 어려움이 있다는 데 뜻을 모으고 있으며 [3] 科學을 가르치는 사람들과 科學者들은 이 主題를 醫師 科學 이라고 부르고 있다. [4] 레이 하이먼 , 스탠리 크리프너 , 제임스 앨코크 와 같은 科學者들은 超心理學에 쓰인 方式들과 이를 통해 얻은 結果들 모두 批評해 왔으며 수많은 超心理學者들이 提供하는 變則的인 說明이 아닌 方法論的인 缺陷들이 明白한 實驗의 成功을 위한 最上의 說明을 提供한다고 이야기한다.

이제까지 科學 커뮤니티 는 超常現象의 存在에 對한 證據를 받아들이지 않고 있으며 [5] [6] [7] [8] 超心理學에서 主張하는 것들은 醫師 科學 으로 取扱하고 있다.
