中東 工科大學校 ( 튀르키예어 : Orta Do?u Teknik Universitesi 오르타 도우 테크니크 위니웨르시테시 [ * ] , ODTU, Middle East Technical University, METU)는 튀르키예 의 數도 앙카라 에 位置한 公立 工科大學校이다. 이 大學은 硏究 中心 大學으로 工學 과 自然科學 敎育을 强調하며, 5個 學部에 約 40個의 學科 프로그램을 運營하고 있다. 5個 大學院에서는 97個의 夕座와 62個의 프로그램을 運營하고 있다. [2]

ODTU의 본 캠퍼스는 4500 헥타르에 이르며, 大學과 補助 施設 그리고 3,000 헥타르의 숲과 에이미르 湖水 로 構成되어 있다. 中東 工科大學校는 全世界 95,000名의 卒業生을 輩出하였다. [3] ODTU에서 公式的으로 使用하는 言語는 英語 이다. [2]

大學 入試 試驗 을 통해 1,000名의 最上位 高得點 學生 中 1/3 以上이 ODTU를 選擇한다. 大部分의 學科는 150萬 志願者 中 上位 1%를 受容한다. [2] ODTU는 最近 5年 동안 터키 科學技術 硏究委員會 ( 튀르키예어 : TUB?TAK )가 支援하는 硏究 基金 中 가장 많은 部分을 차지했으며, EU 프레임워크 프로그램 프로젝트 參與 數 側面에서 튀르키예에서 가장 先導的인 位置에 있다. [4] ODTU의 在學生 卒業生 中 40% 以上이 大學院 進學을 選擇하고 있다. [2]

中東 工科大學校는 元來 中東 工學 硏究所(Orta Do?u Teknoloji Enstitusu)라는 이름으로 1956年 11月 15日 自然, 社會 科學 分野에 熟鍊된 人力을 키워냄으로써 튀르키예와 中東의 周邊 國家, 발칸 半島 그리고 캅카스 等의 發展에 寄與하기 위해 設立되었다.

ODTU의 設立에 對한 根據와 節次인 法令 第6213號는 1957年 1月 22日 制定되었다. 이 法에서 現在의 이름인 튀르키예어 : Orta Do?u Teknik Universitesi (ODTU) 가 採擇되었다. 結局 제7907호로 設立法이 1959年 制定되어 設立을 위한 具體的인 司法 節次에 들어갔다.
