Neovim since 2014 has gathered the effort of hundreds of contributors to realize these forgotten goals of Vim:
- Work as a component: support embedding as a primary use-case.
- Work as a platform: let users extend the core editor without limits.
- Work as a server: enable new, modern GUIs.
- Work in the terminal: TUI experience should be like any modern GUI
Thanks to your support, we were able to deliver out of the box support for LSP and tree-sitter in 0.5, and APIs for diagnostics in 0.6. Our next focus is towards the delivery of Neovim 0.9 in 2023 with remote TUI, improved Lua + syntax (treesitter) capabilities, and much more.
