Vasily Chuykov (February 12, 1900 ? March 18, 1982) was a Russian general.

During World War II he was commanding the 62nd army, with which he was especially outstanding himself in the Battle of Stalingrad .

He was twice Hero of the Soviet Union (1944, 1945).

He was made Marshal of the Soviet Union in 1955.
