August 27, 2021 ? SAMG Entertainment (CEO Suhoon Kim, hereinafter SAMG) announced that it will release the 4th season of ‘Miniforce’ series, “Animaltron”, on EBS from September 3
rd
, for the first time.
In this season, Jackie, a new member of the team, along with the main characters Volt, Sammy, Max and Lucy, joined the operation and got upgraded with new suit, to be the new regular member of the team. In addition, new vehicles for rangers in animal stage will be added to present more thrilling action scenes.
There is also a big change in the transformation robots, which is the trademark of the Miniforce series. The main concept of a three-stage transformation of “Animal → Ranger → Robot” has been removed, and instead, the ‘Robot’ part will be played by the new character “ANIMALTRON.” Animaltron, which has intelligence and personality, can transform into two forms: robot mode and animal mode, and a total of five Animaltrons, named Lion, Crocker, Hawk, Allie and Big Kong, will appear and perform various activities with the Miniforce.
“Miniforce Animaltron” tells the story of the monster named “Egg King”, which was sealed in ‘Animal Planet’ (the hometown of the Animaltron tribe), but it disappeared and suddenly appears on Earth. Each episode is 11 minutes long, with total 26 episodes. The new season will be available on EBS 1TV every Friday at 7:45 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. (rerun) from Sept. 3.
SAMG’s CEO Suhoon Kim said, “The Miniforce series has recorded 6.9 billion views on YouTube channels in Korea, and has become a global popular animation that is loved by children around the world, including Netflix, Tencent and iQiyi. Unlike the previous seasons, we tried hard on the new Animaltron series, to strengthen adventure elements in solving various problems.”
SAMG will also hold various events to commemorate the release of the new season of Miniforce. The “Guess the New Season’s Name” event will be held on the official Instagram channel until the 29th, and EBS and the “Watch It Real Time” event will also be held in line with the main broadcast schedule. In addition, it plans to release new toy products through toy distribution partner Toytron and introduce various license products sequentially.
