class supports two new public methods:
canResolveChannelIntent
: This method determines whether the YouTube application installed on the user's device supports the create channel intent.
createChannelIntent
: This method creates an intent that, when resolved, opens the channel page for the specified channel ID in the YouTube application.

YouTubeIntents
class supports a new public method,
canResolvePlayVideoIntentWithOptions
. This method determines whether the YouTube application installed on the user's device supports the
fullscreen
and
finishOnEnd
optional parameters, which can be set when creating a play video Intent.
- In the
YouTubePlayer.ErrorReason
enum, the new
PLAYER_VIEW_NOT_VISIBLE
value indicates that video playback has been stopped because the player's
View
is not visible.
- In the
YouTubePlayer.ErrorReason
enum, the
BLOCKED_FOR_APP
and
EMBEDDING_DISABLED
values have both been deprecated. Use the
NOT_PLAYABLE
value instead.
- The
YouTubeStandalonePlayer
class supports two new
createVideosIntent
public methods, which accept different arguments. Each method creates an intent that starts a new standalone player activity that plays a list of videos.
- The
YouTubeThumbnailLoader
interface's documentation has been updated to note that you must call the interface's
release()
method when you are finished with the
YouTubeThumbnailLoader
. The documentation for the
YouTubeThumbnailView
class also mentions this requirement.
