12 API calls an hour is only 288 calls to retrieve all edits for the day (assuming the last 4 minutes was average).

I do hope it doesn't come to mass defacement of non-owned posts. I don't think most users would resort to that, but we might have someone do it. I'd expect they'd delete their account immediately after, too :-/

@VLAZ Could always set up a bot to monitor edits in real-time via API, filtering for edits to the posts the user owns. Tons of false positives, there, still.
