Hello, I'm Stephan! I build free and open source (FOSS) developer tools, productivity apps, and technical infrastructure. Some of my most notable projects include:
- Toast
: a task runner based on containers. Use it to create a development environment, run your test suite, etc. Run it locally and in your continuous integration pipeline.
- Typical
: a cross-language serialization framework based on algebraic data types. It's like Protocol Buffers or Apache Thrift, but with more type safety.
- Docuum
: a tool to perform least-recently used (LRU) deletion of Docker images to keep disk usage under some threshold. Run it on your laptop, continuous integration workers, production machines, etc.
- Hashpass
: a simple password manager which doesn't store any passwords.
- Tagref
: a linter that helps you manage cross-references in your code. It's a great way to level up your code health!
These are mature production-quality tools used by large organizations such as
Netflix
,
Airbnb
, and
Notion
. Bugs are always fixed with urgency, typically within hours of discovery. Community contributions are received with gratitude and constructive code review.
The development and maintenance of these tools is a substantial amount of work. Your sponsorship will go a long way to sustaining this effort. Thank you for your support, and please let me know if there is anything I can do to make these tools work better for you or your organization.
