I'm a Mac and iOS developer based in Florianopolis / Brazil.
I've been doing open source work for several years, including libraries like
MultipeerKit
and full apps like the
WWDC app for macOS
,
StatusBuddy
, and
VirtualBuddy
.
The reason why I like to have open source projects is to help the developer community and people who may find my software useful for their day to day activities, or as tools for learning.
I also run Best Buddy Apps, publisher of apps such as
AirBuddy
, which is how I make a living.
As with most if not all open source maintainers, I have a hard time balancing time spent working on my commercial projects vs. the time spent on my open source contributions. My hope with GitHub sponsors is that I'll be able to set aside more of my available time to keep my open source projects alive and well-maintained.
