• Finalized with 650,000 votes after extended polling since last December
• Winner: “Seoul, my soul” (63.1%); runner-up: “Seoul for you” (36.9%)
• New slogan made public at the 2023 Hangang Light Show on Sat, Apr. 29

The Seoul Metropolitan Government (SMG) conducted a poll from Dec. 28 to Mar. 16 in an effort to revamp its new city brand slogan.

Initially, the city had conducted a poll until Jan. 31, which saw a total of 397,721 votes that resulted in a shortlist pick between “Seoul, my soul” (37.3%) and “Seoul for you” (34.9%). Then the city conducted a second poll from Feb. 15 to Mar. 16, which saw a total of 260,513 votes that resulted in the finalist winner “Seoul, my soul” (63.1%) and runner-up “Seoul for you” (36.9%).

The city will unveil the completed version of the city’s new brand after finalizing the design of the new slogan. Ahead of final presentation of the city’s new brand slogan with the design, the new slogan has been made public on Sat, Apr. 29 at the finale of the 2023 Hangang Light Show. The show, which began on Sat, Apr. 29, will be held at Ttukseom Hangang Park three more times ? Mon, May 1, Fri, May 5, and Sat, May 6 ? lasting 10 minutes starting at 8 PM.
