This has been a good week for
Stranger Things.
On Monday, the series received a Golden Globe
nomination
for Best Drama, as well as a Best Actress nod for
Winona Ryder
. On Tuesday, IMDb revealed that the series was this year’s second most-searched show on its entire site, second only to
Game of Thrones.
And now?
Millie Bobby Brown
just offhandedly came up with a potential addition to the
Stranger Kids
mix:
Romeo Beckham.
Let us explain: During UNICEF’s 70th anniversary event, which Brown co-hosted,
E! News
asked the 12-year-old actress what she’d like to see happen with Eleven when the sci-fi series returns for Season 2.
“I don’t know,” Brown replied. “Something with Romeo Beckham.”
Should we consider this an open casting suggestion to the
Duffer
brothers? (14-year-old Romeo is currently a model, but who knows; perhaps he, like so many models before him, has a desire to cross over
into the acting world
.) Is this the first seed of what could possibly blossom into Hollywood’s hottest power couple?say, in 2028? Or is it just an offhanded comment by an actress asked to come up with something on the spot? We may never know.
What we
do
know:
American Odyssey
’s
Sadie Sink
and Australian actor
Dacre Montgomery
will both join the cast of
Stranger Things
in Season 2, according to
Variety
; they’ll play a tomboy named Max and her older stepbrother, Billy. All of the original
Stranger Things
kids
will also return
, including
promotions
for
Noah Schnapp
(Will Byers) and
Joe Kerry
(Steve Harrington) to series regulars.
As for what will actually
happen
, plot-wise? Predictably, everyone’s been pretty tight-lipped. Rest assured, though, that it’ll be “
insane
.”
