Ieva Jusionyte is an Assistant Professor of Anthropology and Latin American Studies at the University of Florida. She is currently conducting research on emergency medical services under heightened border security in southern Arizona and northern Sonora, funded by the National Science Foundation. She is also a paramedic and volunteer firefighter.
