England the team to beat

England are 3/1 favourites to end their 58-year trophy drought this summer by winning the European Championship in Germany.

The team have made steady progress under Gareth Southgate, finishing as runners-up to Italy at Euro 2020.

At the 2022 World Cup, they were knocked out by eventual finalists France in the last eight and Les Bleus are 4/1 second favourites for Euro 2024.

France are alongside the Netherlands in Group D and Ronald Koeman’s side are 16/1 in the outright betting.

Germany, at 11/2, complete the top three in the market. Despite their recent struggles, home advantage could prove significant for Julian Nagelsmann and his players.

Portugal and Spain follow in the betting at 8/1 ? and Spain joined by Italy in Group B. The holders are 14/1 to retain the trophy, the same price as Belgium, who complete the list of frontrunners.

England stars feature prominently

Unsurprisingly, the favourites to win the Golden Boot at Euro 2024 all feature prominently in the player of the tournament odds.

Kylian Mbappe is the favourite for both the Golden Boot and to be named player of the tournament at 7/1.

Jude Bellingham is just behind him at 9/1 with the 20-year-old after a phenomenal first season with Real Madrid, who won La Liga and are in the Champions League final.

His England captain Harry Kane completes the top three in the betting at 11/1 with team-mate Phil Foden just behind him at 12/1.

There is then a gap in the betting to Kevin De Bruyne, Toni Kroos and Cristiano Ronaldo all at 16/1.

De Bruyne has had an injury-hit season but he is still one of the best players in the world.

It will definitely be Kroos’ final tournament as he will retire at the end of Euro 2024 while it is likely to be Ronaldo’s final major tournament as he turned 39 earlier this year.

Bukayo Saka completes the front-runners in the player of the tournament betting at 20/1.
