PFL Europe 2024 Finals to Go Down on Dec. 14 in Lyon, France

The French city of Lyon will be getting its first major MMA fight card when Professional Fighters League comes to town at the end of the year.

The organization announced on Friday via press release that the 2024 PFL Europe Finals will be taking place on Dec. 14. The venue of the LDLC Arena in Decines, Lyon, France, will play host to the championships of their $100,000 spinoff tourney. The arena finished construction in November 2023, and the WWE has put on a pair of shows in the building in May.

The PFL Europe season of 2024 will conclude on this date, wrapping up its four brackets in the bantamweight, lightweight, welterweight and women’s flyweight divisions. The first PFL Europe show of the year took place in March, with 155 and 170 pounders working their way into the semifinals. The final four of the welterweights will see Ibrahima Mane take on Daniele Miceli and Florim Zendeli against a currently undetermined foe. Lightweight matchups to determine finalists come in the form of Ignacio Capella vs. Connor Hughes and Jakub Kaszuba vs. Daniele Scatizzi .

The second of four PFL Europe events is set for June 8 in Newcastle, England, with eight 135ers and women’s 125ers in their rosters. On Sept. 28, the Playoffs will commence for the European tournament, as the four weight classes whittle their competitors down to two each in Glasgow, Scotland. Previous tourney victors include Khurshed Kakhorov (135), Kaszuba (155), Jakob Nedoh (205) and Dakota Ditcheva (women’s 125).
