The French city of Lyon will be getting its first major MMA fight
card when
Professional Fighters League
comes to town at
the end of the year.
The organization announced on Friday via press release that the
2024 PFL Europe Finals will be taking place on Dec. 14. The venue
of the LDLC Arena in Decines, Lyon, France, will play host to the
championships of their $100,000 spinoff tourney. The arena finished
construction in November 2023, and the WWE has put on a pair of
shows in the building in May.
The PFL Europe season of 2024 will conclude on this date, wrapping
up its four brackets in the bantamweight, lightweight, welterweight
and women’s flyweight divisions. The first PFL Europe show of the
year took place in March, with 155 and 170 pounders working their
way into the semifinals. The final four of the welterweights will
see

against a currently undetermined foe. Lightweight
matchups to determine finalists come in the form of

The second of four PFL Europe events is set for June 8 in
Newcastle, England, with eight 135ers and women’s 125ers in their
rosters. On Sept. 28, the Playoffs will commence for the European
tournament, as the four weight classes whittle their competitors
down to two each in Glasgow, Scotland. Previous tourney victors
