Adam Pascal
is back to direct productions of musicals he's appeared in on Broadway. After staging Jonathan Larson's
Rent
at his Long Island hometown's community theatre From Stage to Screen last year, Pascal is returning to direct a new production of
Something Rotten!
Pascal starred as Shakespeare during the musical's original Broadway run and on its first national tour.
Performances in Long Island will run August 2?4. The theatre is currently casting, with open calls planned for May 20 and 21. Those interested in auditioning should email

Something Rotten!
follows two brothers trying to make theatre in the shadow of Elizabethan playwriting superstar William Shakespeare. They end up inventing the world's first musical. The piece premiered on Broadway in 2015, earning 10 Tony Award nominations including Best Musical.
