Memorial Day closures in Fort Worth: What you need to know

Most city offices, including City Hall, will be closed Monday, May 27, for the Memorial Day holiday. Emergency services will be available as usual.

Solid waste. There will be no changes in garbage, recycle, yard waste or bulk collection schedules on May 27. Drop-off stations and the Environmental Collection Center will be closed. If you have questions or need assistance, call 817-392-1234 .

Animal Care & Control. The Fort Worth Animal Shelter’s main campus at 4900 Martin St. and the North Animal Campus, 351 Hillshire Drive, will be closed on May 27, but PetSmart locations at Alliance and Hulen will be open regular hours.

Libraries. All Fort Worth Public Library locations will be closed May 27.

Recreational amenities. Most community centers, Haws Athletic Center, Fort Worth @6 and Log Cabin Village will be closed May 27. Victory Forest, Chisholm Trail and Diamond Hill community centers will remain open. Rockwood Park and Pecan Valley golf courses, McLeland Tennis Center, Marine Park and Forest Park pools will be open May 27.

Water utility. To access the Water Department’s automated system for payments and account inquiries or to report an emergency, call the 24-hour call center at 817-392-4477 .

Public transit. On May 27, Trinity Metro bus and ACCESS paratransit will operate on Sunday schedules. TEXRail and ZIPZONE on-demand rideshare services will operate on regular schedules. No service for Trinity Railway Express (TRE), CentrePort Circulator and TRE LINK. Customer Care Kiosk will be closed, but phone lines are open at 817-215-8600 from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. for customer assistance.

City Council. The May 28 City Council meetings have been canceled.
