Ten years after starting off with their first album
Amaranth
, Korean vocal duo
Davichi
returned on Wednesday (Jan. 24) with
&10
, their third LP, fronted by the single “Days Without You.”
A breakup song that follows the evocative vein of their biggest hits, the pop ballad duo, consisting of Lee Haeri and Kang Minkyung, deliver a heartwrenching single in the form of “Days Without You.” Over a sweeping orchestral melody, Kang and Lee deliver a powerful vocal rendition of the tune, lacing each note with desperation and reluctant acceptance.
The stirring track was released along with a winter-themed music video featuring
Wanna One
’s
Kang Daniel
as a young man dealing with heartbreak and spending days on his own without a former lover.
Over the past decade, Davichi has become one of the most popular female vocal teams in South Korea; between 2011-2014, several songs by the pair peaked at No. 1 on the newly reinstated K-Pop Hot 100 chart.
&10
celebrates the duo’s career, and features several songs
co-written
by each of the members.
The anniversary album fittingly features ten songs, including the single and one instrumental-only version of the track. It also features a special version of their very first single, “Even Though I Hate You, I Love You.”
