Michael Pittman Jr. leaving Colts practice after collision makes fans consider his importance - Stampede Blue
The top receiver for the team left practice early after a collision.

Once again, there is no cause for alarm, and Michael Pittman has been extremely healthy during his time with the team. There is no reason to believe that won’t continue. This was more of an exercise in the what if’s and worst case scenarios. There is always a major player or two that suffers a season-ending injury in camp. The best we can hope for is that the Colts players stay upright and only suffer minor aliments that will heal by the time the season kicks off. Pittman is fine. Let’s just hope he stays that way.

The Value of Things: the Houston Texans sideways report - Battle Red Blog
What could go wrong in 2024?

All of this is to say that the margin for victory in the NFL is always small. Every little crack matters and clearly the Texans could be every lick as good as last season and still come away with a worse record. I don’t think that will happen because I believe in what the team did in the offseason, but we have to acknowledge that things could go sideways and the above positions are the most likely spots where that could happen.

Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell is back in the saddle - Battle Red Blog
Recovering from injury and gunshot wounds never looked so easy.

While some are never the same after suffering a broken fibula, Dell was well on his way to full recovery when the second tragedy struck. Last month, Dell was in the wrong place at the wrong time when a bullet fired by a mass shooter struck the young receiver.

Now, roughly a month later, Dell is lighting up the practice field at Houston Texans HQ.

Houston Texans Veterans Absent From OTAs - Battle Red Blog
Who’s here, who’s not, and who should be at NRG

The Texans are officially in voluntary OTA practices and the initial news and notes flowing out of practice indicate that several veterans are not present for the first team practices of the year. Namely offensive line starters Laremy Tunsil, Shaq Mason, and Tytus Howard are not there. Tunsil is renown for doing his own thing in the offseason and is not a surprise, but Howard’s absence is due to his lingering leg injury. He is hoping to be healthy by preseason.

Tennessee Titans (via Music City Miracles )

Will Levis loves the new additions to the offense - Music City Miracles
No surprise that the QB would be happy with the investment on the Titans made in the offense this offseason

This offseason Ran Carthon, Chad Brinker, and Brian Callahan have invested a ton in making the offense better. It started with the signing of Calvin Ridley. Then they hired Bill Callahan away from the Cleveland Browns. They spent their first round pick on JC Latham to play left tackle and rounded it out by signing Tyler Boyd.

Titans target Feb 2027 for completion of new Nissan Stadium - Music City Miracles
The Titans announced an update on the construction of their new stadium

The Tennessee Titans are continuing to make progress on the next iteration of Nissan Stadium. Team and public officials held an event on Monday, welcoming members of local media to the “Titans House,” the newly launched experience center for stadium updates. It was there that a more firm timeline of Feb. 27, 2027 (or sooner) was provided for the new Nissan Stadium to reach completion.

Titans OT Nicholas Petit-Frere is rehabbing a shoulder injury - Music City Miracles
Tennessee’s potential starting right tackle is still rehabbing a shoulder injury from last season

Third-year offensive tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere was among the players not spotted during the open portion. Callahan then revealed that Petit-Frere was rehabbing a shoulder injury inside the building. Petit-Frere was placed on season-ending injured reserve (IR) in mid November with what’s likely that same shoulder injury that he’s continuing to rehab.
