announced on Monday that it separated from being part of
Aniplex
subsidiary company
A-1 Pictures
and became its own company under
Aniplex
effective on Monday. The new
CloverWorks
Co., Ltd. company has a capital fund of 100 million yen (about US$877,940) with 100% investment by
Aniplex
. The company's president is producer
Akira Shimizu
.
CloverWorks
stated regarding the separation, "Each studio would like to make a contribution by creating good production with original production system and characteristics for a developing animation market in the future."
A-1 Pictures
had
announced
in April that it renamed its K?enji Studio as
CloverWorks
.
CloverWorks
has worked on the
Slow Start

DARLING in the FRANXX
, and
PERSONA 5 the Animation
anime series. For the fall season
CloverWorks
is working on

began
operations in 2006, and is a subsidiary of
Sony Music Entertainment

Aniplex

founded the studio, and its main studio is located in Tokyo's Asagaya area.
