Visitors to the Sky Park outside Seoul's Lotte Mall Gimpo Airport shopping complex will find themselves staring at a giant 8-meter (26 ft.), 3-ton (6,000 lb) statue of Deltatron, erected to celebrate the fifth anniversary of
Tobot
, a South Korean transforming robot cartoon aimed at kids.
Similar to
Transformers
, Tobots transform from vehicles, though each Tobot is the combined product of several cars. Because of a design collaboration with Kia Motors, they all happen to transform into Kias. In Deltatron's case, his limbs are made up of the Kia Sorento-R (Sorento), the Kia Morning (Picanto), and the Kia Soul.
The statue will be on display at the park for the next five years.
While Young Toys, the Korean toy company that makes and sells the
Tobot
toys, is no longer hosting English-dubbed episodes of
Tobot
on their
YouTube
channel, you can still find a
huge trove
of episodes in Korean.
