Frndly TV, the low-priced, family-friendly streaming service
, made a deal with Weigel Broadcasting to stream MeTV and Weigel’s other digital broadcast networks to Frndly’s subscribers.
Frndly TV is the first live streaming service to carry all five of the Weigel channels.
Under the terms of the deal Frndly subscribers will get added programming, including
MeTV, one of the oldest and most popular of the digital broadcast networks
, without seeing a price increase from the current basic rate of $6.99 a month.
The addition will give Frndly subscribers a lineup of more than 35 channels.
Weigel’s channels get additional distribution to Frndly’s subscribers, many of whom live in rural areas where broadcast signals are weak.
