College of human ecology started with department of clothing, department of home education, department of food and nutrition. In 1982 we separated and became independent as domestic subjects training college. In 1996 the title has changed into college of human ecology and is composed of department of clothing, department of food and nutrition, department of interior architecture design. We have bachelor's, master's and doctor's curriculum.

The objectives of education is to train experts who are required in present and future society. Our goal is to develop students' abilities through educating theory parallel with experiment practice of each department to deal with various circumstances.

In order to do so, now about 20 of Full-time professors, 30 of adjunct professors, 600 of undergraduates, 150 of graduate students are putting their efforts on studies related with clothing, food and nutrition and interior architecture together which are the most basic and essential in human life.

Additionally, our university is corresponding to the rapidly changes of the society through specialized education connected to engineering, industrial cooperative education linked with industries, and specialized English education. We also aim to cultivate blended individuals through converged education by means of minor, double major, multiple majors, interdisciplinary majors, and teacher license acquisition process. Our university is working with the local society as we practice sharing education through what is learned in majors.

We aim for Globalization as we support different scholarship programs such as exchange programs, long and short term overseas training, overseas internship and employment, and invitation of international students. We assure student activities through clubs and student council and the university is equipped with advanced education facilities and conditions as we continuously making progress.

Enrolled students are hosting "HECO Festival" and events of graduation fashion show, graduation exhibition, academic conference, assignment exhibition every year. We are achieving recognition by winning prizes with outstanding records on various domestic overseas design competitive exhibitions, symposiums day by day.

The graduates who completed degrees in our university are researchers who are actively engaged in specialized in-depth research as domestic and international professors, researchers, teachers, graduate students, and students studying abroad. Students also advancing to industrial positions for fashion design, clothes industry, dietician, food industry, industrial design, interior architecture, and as civil servant in each field of major.

The College of human ecology is concentrating entire efforts to fulfill students' infinite possibilities and dreams through practical learning and practice of love to train global creative talents who will contribute for the future society. We hope to get a lot of attention and support from you.
