What is the Dual Rotational Jump Training System

E.S.I.'s Dual Rotational Jump Training System is an innovative tool for skating coaches looking to give their figure skaters the competitive edge in competition. The system is used to help figure skaters build confidence as they start to learn new skating maneuvers, jumps, tricks and lifts. As the figure skaters confidence grows, their reliance on the jump training harness lessons. The Dual-Rotational Jump training harness will significantly reduce learning times for new jumps and help skaters to perform more proficient in a shorter period of time. The full adjustability of the jump training system allows it to be used with multiple ages, skater sizes and ability levels.

The Benefits of Using the Dual-Rotational Jump Training Skate Harness System Include:

  • Reduced learning time for jumps.
  • Keeps figure skaters straight while in the air.
  • Keeps figure skaters in position for a safe landing.
  • Minimize injuries to the skaters as the trainer can always catch the fall.
  • The dual-rotation allows trainer 360 degree mobility around the skater.
  • The Dual Rotational Jump Training skating harness is adjustable for all ages, sizes and skill levels.
  • Complete installation of and training included.
  • Very affordable
  • Stronger and more durable than any other skating system on the market today!

Why Choose the Dual-Rotational Jump Training Skate Harness Systems:

  • All individual components used in the design and installation of the Dual-Rotational Jump Training skate harness system are capable of holding at minimum an excess of 5,000 lbs. Our system is designed so that at no time will it's use ever exceed 1/5 of any components listed breaking strength. The selection of our materials sets E.S.I. apart from our competition in that all materials exceed the fall protection standards set by OSHA, ANSI, ACCT, CWA and other associations that set standards for fall protection systems for individuals, participants and employees. In addition we only use products and components in their intended manner. We are not taking components from other industries such as the sailing industry, garage door installation equipment, and applying them to fall protection - we are using fall protection equipment.
  • Our padded waist belt and spreader bars are custom manufactured for use by figure skaters by a company known for providing fall protection systems for a wide range of educational, recreational and industrial uses.
  • Our padded waist belt is designed to be fully adjustable and easy to use. It features: a single quick locking buckle system, allowing the skater easy access in and out of the harness: a 3" padded waist belt, for comfort and multiple hook in points.
  • Our multiple hook in points will accommodate any size or age of skater. The multiple hook in points also allow any skater to perform a jump and always remain in the proper position. Additionally, multiple hook in points allow our system to be adaptable to more types of jumps and skating maneuvers than systems with only a single hook in point.
  • The overhead spreader bar is made from a light weight nylon rod, as opposed to the steel bar we have encountered in other systems.
  • Our stainless steel rotational swivels spin on ball bearings, for a positive response when the skater is in the air performing a jump. Additionally, these swivels are manufactured and intended to function smoothly under loads.
  • The rope used with the jump training system is 11mm Low Stretch Static Rope manufactured for fall protection and features low elongation and high abrasion resistance. Our competition uses clothesline and polydacron rope to support the life of your skaters. A use not approved of by the rope manufacturers.
  • All components of the overhead system, the pulley and cable, are backed-up with redundancy for extra protection.
  • Most importantly- every component of the Dual-Rotation Jump Training Skate Harness System is manufactured and assembled using only products that have been designed and engineered to support human weight. All materials meet OSHA minimum standards for personal fall arrest systems. Our competition uses sailing pulleys and garage door pulleys not manufactured or approved for the use of supporting live human loads.
  • We provide a 5 year guarantee on all materials and workmanship on every installation of the Dual Rotational Jump Training System.

What Are the Costs for Installing a Jump Training System:

There are many costs that go into operationalizing a jump training harness system for figure skaters. Each ice arena facility and building design is individual in nature and will need to be evaluated for appropriate installation options. Below is some general information concerning costs.

  • Site Evaluation: If E.S.I. is selected to install your skating harness we will either need to visit your site to determine the most appropriate location for installation, or we will need to review structural drawings and photographs of the ice rinks and ceiling structure. In cases where a site visit would prove to be too costly specific measurements will need to be taken by the ice rink and provided to E.S.I. in order to get a specific quote.
  • Design: Due to the vast number of different rink designs and support structures found in Ice Arenas most installations have some custom component. Typically this custom component is the clamp or unit that attaches directly to your rinks existing I-beam or overhead truss system. Many Ice Rinks have drop ceilings or solar panels installed above the ice. In these instances the custom clamping system needs to be manufactured long enough to hang below the drop ceiling.
  • Materials: All materials used by E.S.I. are corrosion resistant and designed, and manufactured to support no less than 5,000 lbs. With most components far exceeding that strength requirement.
  • Labor: All labor is provided by an E.S.I employee who has installed dozens of these systems. We do not hire subcontractors to install our systems.
  • Training: Staff training is imperative and required of any new organization purchasing a harness system from Experiential Systems, Inc. Training is typically two hours in length, is experiential in nature and covers the set-up, use and maintenance of your new jump training system.
  • Insurance: E.S.I. is fully insured. We carry a two-million dollar General Liability and Completed Operations policy with an A++ rated company, and Workers Compensation coverage for all employees.
  • Travel Expenses: Travel expenses will vary based on your facilities location. Mileage is billed at $0.42 a mile, round trip; Lodging is charged at the billed rate; Meals are billed at $35.00 per day; any airfare or rental car rates will be billed at the rate charged.

Cost: While the Dual Rotational Jump Harnesses Systems typically cost between $2,600.00 and $3,200.00 installed. Many price quotes may come in either lower or much higher due to the specifics of your building design and location of installation.

* Engineering Plans are occasionally required for special customized buildings and may be required by some local building codes. Cost
associated with this step is dependant on the complexity of the design and location of installation.
