Handball

Handball is a game between two teams that each team contains seven players including six attackers and one goalkeeper.

Handball is played in two rounds, each of which lasted for 30 minutes. The team that scored the most goals is the winner.

Handball is played for men and women, and be unveiled at the IX Asian Games in New Delhi, 1982. South Korea is the dominant country in this sport in Asia, both men and women categories.

Handball is also referred to as team handball or European handball. It is a two team sport, each team has seven players. They pass and bounce a ball to throw it into the goal, guarded by a goal keeper of the opposing team.

The team with the most goals after two periods of 30 minutes wins. Players can try to defend against the players on the other team but only by being fully in front of them.

Any contact from the side or especially from behind is considered dangerous and is usually met with penalties.

Handball is normally played indoors but has been adapted to be played on a field or beach.

Handball was first incorporated into the Asian Games in 1982 and beach handball into the Asian Beach Games in 2008.
