Reality show producers must be walking on eggshells around their cast members. By the looks of things, just the smallest disagreement can result in stars throwing very public hissy fits.

Nearly every reality series out there, from Made in Chelsea to TOWIE to Geordie Shore, has disgruntled former cast members. Should show bosses be worried? Decide for yourself as we check out the times some of our favourite reality stars have monstered their own shows.

1. Stephen Bear – Celebs Go Dating

Bear was booted off Celebs Go Dating on Wednesday March 8, when professional matchmakers Nadia Essex and Eden Blackman learned he'd lied about his relationship status. (Far from being a single pringle, he's actually got a girlfriend – reality TV queen Charlotte Crosby.)

Unsurprisingly, it seems the Celebrity Big Brother winner's heart was never really in the show. But was there really any need to slam the series the way he did?

Commenting on his experience last week, Bear told Heat : "Honestly? It's going shit. It's going terrible. I've only come onto the show for the money. That's why I'm here. I'll be honest. I've done it for the money... I say the truth, baby. They pay me good."

He then went on to bash poor Nadia and Eden for their attempts to help him find love. "They hate me," he added, before going on to brand Nadia "mad" and accusing her of giving "crap advice".

Nice one, Bear.

2. Holly Hagan – Geordie Shore

Holly quit Geordie Shore last year and it doesn't sound like she's looking forward to the new series.

After checking out the trailer for season 15, she snapped on Twitter: "Cannot believe @mtvgeordie shore signed off that advert! Insensitive and bad taste after what's happened."

The clip in question shows Gaz Beadle – the ex of her BFF Charlotte Crosby – going into 'labour' surrounded by his co-stars. While the comedy sketch seems perfectly innocent, Holly was angry with the concept of the ad given that Charlotte suffered an ectopic pregnancy just ten months earlier before ending her romance with Gaz and leaving Geordie Shore .

3. Mario Falcone – The Only Way Is Essex

Back when Mario was on TOWIE , he ripped into producers on Twitter when his relationship with ex-girlfriend Lucy Mecklenburgh started to fall apart.

After one episode, which saw him accused of cheating with Sugar Hut babe Amy Broadbent, he flew into a rage on Twitter, accusing the show of being completely fabricated.

"The producers are still lying to you all... Coronation Street is more reality than TOWIE ," he wrote. "The producers have cut a lot of scenes and key facts that expose what actually happened that night to keep the only interesting storyline going on. They have known the facts for weeks... but continue to lie to you all. Me and Lucy are together and begged by producers not to so we don't ruin their story. But the little bits they keep failing to put in, I will fill you in on, the REAL TOWIE."

We're not sure what happened when Mario went into work the next day, but, well, he's no longer on the show…

4. Chantelle Connolly – Geordie Shore

When Chantelle was accused of cheating on her ex-boyfriend Tommy Sayers with co-star Gaz, she threw Geordie Shore under the bus to save her skin.

After being called out as a love rat by fans, she tweeted back: "Think you need to get your facts right! My bf knew I had to have a story line with Gary. Was totally honest with him and he was ok with it!!!"

Chantelle then made it very obvious she didn't enjoy being on the show after she decided to quit.

"I found the house very snakey," she told MTV . "I feel like I was the only one in the house that was real. If I had something to say to someone, I'd be the first to say it to their face. Everyone else in that house seemed to have a problem doing that. It was all Chinese whispers instead of approaching us."

5. Hugo Taylor – Made i n Chelsea

It's been years since Hugo was last on Made in Chelsea , but it seems there's still a bit of bad blood.

He was one of the originals on the show and has made no secret that he hates what it's become since his departure.

"Now it's completely fabricated," he told Business Insider . "The guys are completely characterless fops, it's ridiculous.

"The people are there to make cash off of it. I definitely got into it to make money, but we had to fight to get there, rather than like what they do now."

6. Gemma Collins – The Only Way Is Essex

The GC didn't hesitate to let TOWIE producers take the blame when her reputation came under fire last year.

Back when Danielle Armstrong and James Locke were still very much deciding whether to get back together or not, Gemma dropped a huge bombshell claiming that the Essex boy was secretly seeing somebody else. Awkwardly, this turned out to be completely false. So what did she do? She blamed show bosses.

Danielle told The Sun at the time: "I spoke to her on the phone and she blamed it on producers saying they had made it up and approached her with the storyline."

TOWIE reps insisted Gemma's claims are not true.

7. Audrina Patridge – The Hills

Once The Hills finished, all the secrets started pouring out, breaking the hearts of diehard fans.

Audrina was just one of many cast members to reveal just how fake the show was – and by the sounds of things, we were fed A LOT of lies. Even her lengthy feud with Kristin Cavallari wasn't real!

"Yeah, it was really weird for everyone and then it just wasn't genuine," she told Us Weekly . "It was really weird, and then whenever the producers kept wanting me to fight with [Kristin] over [Justin Bobby], I was like, 'I'm not doing that! I'm not even with him! I'm with someone else!' It really was hard with my real life and then my TV life."

She added: "I think if social media was a thing then, The Hills would never be what it was. Even now, going to dinner, [fans] sit there and take pictures and film and, like, listen. The secrets! There would be no secrets anymore if there was social media back then!"

8. Christiane Stinnes – Made in Chelsea

Christiane aka Tina briefly joined Made in Chelsea back in 2014 as one of Spencer Matthews' long list of girlfriends.

When their romance fizzled out and she lost her place in the show, Tina spoke out to accuse MiC of being fake.

"We film dinner scenes at 7am. It's all staged," she told the Daily Star . "They influence you into saying things, they'll be like, 'Why don't you say this, because this is what you think, isn't it?'"

She continued: "When you're having an argument with someone you have to repeat it 10 times. You're standing there in the middle of a row and they're like, 'Can you say that line again?'"
