There's only another month or so until we get to explore the world of old gods and new in
American Gods
, so here's a sneak peek of what we can expect from Amazon Prime Video' latest series.
First up we see Ricky Whittle (yes, the one from
Hollyoaks
) as Shadow Moon, the ex-con who's forced to get to grips with the changing world around him.

After stumbling upon the cryptically-named Mr Wednesday (played by Ian McShane), who is actually the Norse god Odin, Shadow finds himself caught up in a conflict between the old gods of myths of legend and the new 'gods' of modern times – namely money and technology.
And here's a look at Ian McShane as said Mr Wednesday, alongside Kristin Chenoweth as the goddess Easter (or Ostara, as you may otherwise know her).

The 8-episode run, created by Bryan Fuller, is adapted from Neil Gaiman's novel of the same name and has been developed by a collaborative team of Gaiman, Fuller and Michael Green.
