There is news to report today on the SOAPnet front.
Soap Opera
Digest
is reporting that the 24/7 soap opera cable channel is not going off the airwaves in February, 2012 as originally announced and planned.
It appears that the channel will continue to broadcast for a little bit longer into the new year.?
Days of our Lives
will remain on the programming block.? DAYS executive producer said, “We’re fortunate that SOAPnet picked up the show.”? So what happens to
The Young and the Restless
and
General Hospital?
With both
All My Children
and
One Life to Live
gone by January, we presume they will stay, and some additional acquisition programming will join the line-up, unless they decide to infuriated soap fans and put on same day episodes of
The Chew
and
The Revolution
?
Whatever the case,? SOAPnet is phasing out to make room for the Disney Junior channel, as previously announced.
