To stage the first Olympic and Paralympic Games in South America, the Rio 2016 Organising Committee will count on the work and dedication of over 140,000 people. There will be 7,000 organising committee staff, 65,000 outsourced employees and approximately 70,000 volunteers. These groups will join forces and perform a hugely diverse range of functions during the event.
