This is an outstanding study of Illyrians' history, life and culture based on extensive research of archaeological, ethnological, and philological sources, that constitutes the first modern synthesis on ancient Illyrians. In view of Bibliograpia Illyrica ( in three volumes with more than 740 pages) by the same author, it is no wonder that this book, in 291 pages, encapsulates in an expertly distilled form an entire library of knowledge about Illyrians -- an achievement unsurpassed to this day.
The book has experienced nine editions in four languages: Italian, Croatian, Albanian and English.
A real treasure to cherish.

Hey if you see Illyria and a yugoslav writer on the cover, know that they are the most jealous people in the whole world. Having no history before the 6th century AD! They have to mak us look bad. I really sympathize with them. It's just pathetic...
