Zappos has partnered with Virgin America to send flight attendants into the skies in style.

The two brands have collaborated on the limited-edition Stuart Weitzman Heist pump in a bold “concourse red” color. Virgin America’s in-flight crew will wear the stylish patent-leather pump onboard flights starting this fall. Designed for comfort, the shoe features extra insole cushioning and a durable rubber sole for better grip on the airplane floor.

Beginning today, a limited quantity of the $355 Virgin America pump will be available for purchase on Zappos.com. With each pair sold, $10 will go to benefit the American Heart Association to support awareness, research and education programs aimed at combating cardiovascular disease.

“Our mission at Virgin America has always been to bring back a bit of the style to flying. By partnering with Zappos, we’re taking that a step further with the custom-designed pump,” said Luanne Calvert, chief marketing officer for the airline. “Travel can be stylish and fun — and this limited-edition shoe was designed with an eye for both function and fashion. It is the perfect travel accessory.”

“We saw an opportunity to design a heel that was tailored for the demands of the airline’s in-flight teammates and that our customers would love, too,” added Galen Hardy, senior director of partnerships for Zappos. “We were able to create a contemporary shoe that reflects the modern style of Virgin’s design aesthetic — and that looks just as good at 35,000 feet as it does on a night out painting the town red.”

In addition to the pump, Virgin America and Zappos have also introduced a special, 22-piece collection of shoes, clothes and accessories curated by Virgin America crew members to help complete the head-to-toe look. Available at Zappos.com, the collection includes a Stuart Weitzman black patent-leather flat, Levi’s 721 high-rise skinny jeans and Theory’s Lakelyn dress.

As part of the partnership, Virgin America also is offering travelers the chance to enter a sweepstakes to win a trip for two to Las Vegas for a two-night stay at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas hotel, a $1,500 Zappos gift card and a one-one-one consultation with a personal stylist.
