Examination Copies for Educators

In order to help educators make course book decisions, we offer examination copies in two formats: online and paperback .

Access to titles in the online exam copies program can be requested by following the “Request an online exam copy” link on an individual book’s page (see graphic at right) or you can see a full list of available titles here .

To request paperback exam copies, please see our instructions .

Note: If you are a journalist, please see our information on review copies for the media .

Desk Copy Policy

If a Harvard University Press title is adopted as a text for a specific course and an order has been placed with your college bookstore for a minimum of 10 copies, we will, upon request, include one “desk copy” at no additional charge.

To request a desk copy, write to us on departmental letterhead and include the following information:

  • Name of college bookstore
  • Course title
  • Number of copies ordered
  • Address to which the desk copy should be sent
  • Your complete contact information

  • Printed on departmental letterhead ;
