David Gainsborough Roberts

When the Film Society started in 1947, Lady Grasett was its patron and she remained patron until 1952.

In 1983 Rene Ray, who had retired to Jersey, became patron.

After her death in 1993, Harry Patterson (aka Jack Higgins) agreed to become patron and in 1996 he was joined by David Gainsborough Roberts.
