Johan Arenas joined the Marine Corps when he was 17. As an infantryman and machine gunner, he was deployed to Fallujah and Ramadi, Iraq, at a time in his life when most people his age were heading to college. Having spent his entire adult life in the armed forces, when Arenas did return to civilian life back in New York City, it was 2008, and he found himself in need of help navigating two new worlds: adulthood and employment.
