NFL players' lawsuits are frivolous

Excuse me if I don't have any sympathy for the past National Football League players who are now suing the league, claiming they suffered permanent injuries during their playing days.

I hope these players not only lose their lawsuits but the judges see fit to fine each player and their attorneys a half million dollars each for gumming up the courts with these outrageously frivolous suits.

The players voluntarily chose this hazardous career with the hopes of obtaining money and glory. All of them knew the risks. If they didn't, then the judges should fine each one an additional half million dollars for stupidity.

I've got an idea: Why don't we get all the mountain climbers who suffered injuries while scaling the mountains to sue the United States for having such steep mountains.

NFL players should not be compensated for their injuries. They're simply not entitled to any compensation. As far as I'm concerned, the only people who deserve compensation for voluntary service are the brave men and women who served in our armed forces. They risked their lives to defend our borders from invasion and keep our country safe.

NFL players sacrificed their bodies in order to sell beer for $8 a cup.
