Attempted credit card fraud reported, and more Wilmette police reports

The following items were taken from police reports:

Wilmette

•Someone use the information belonging to a resident in the 2400 block of Concord Lane to apply for three credit cards, it was reported Dec. 17.

•Holiday lights on bushes at a house in the 200 bock of Sunset Road were damaged, it was reported Dec. 20.

•The driver's side mirror on a red 2014 Hyundai Elantra parked on the west side of the 600 block of Lamon Avenue was reported damaged on Dec. 20.

•A woman driving a black Honda Odyssey minivan backed into a gas pump at the BP Amoco at 840 Skokie Road on Dec. 19 and then fled.

•Six hundred dollars was stolen from a purse at the Marriott Residence Inn at 3205 Old Glenview Road, it was reported on Dec. 20

•A Winnetka man, 21, passed out and parked on a lawn in the 2400 block of Lake Avenue, was arrested for DUI on Dec. 21.

•An iPad, Michael Kors coat and loaded handgun were stolen from a vehicle parked at a Starbucks in the 3500 block of Lake Avenue on Dec. 18.

•An elderly couple attempted to steal a box of chocolates from Fannie Mae Candies in the 1500 block of Sheridan Road on Dec. 18 by concealing it in a bag. When the employee found the hidden box of chocolate and confronted the couple, the man pushed the employee. Both suspects then left the store. The man was identified as an 82-year-old from Winnetka. The employee refused to press charges for battery and the two were told not to return to the store.

•A seasonal employee was charged with theft from Carson Pirie Scott in the 3200 block of Lake Avenue on Dec. 19.

•A Chicago man was issued a ticket for possession of cannabis on Dec. 19 after his girlfriend kicked him out of the car on Interstate 94.

•A Glenview man, 24, arrested for DUI in the 3700 block of Lake Avenue on Dec. 20.

•A Chicago man, 38, was charged with driving without a valid driver's license in the 3200 block of Lake Avenue on Dec. 17.

•A residence in the 1000 block of Romona Road was broken into on Dec. 16. Nothing appeared to have been taken.

•Electrical cords to Christmas lights on a house in the 100 block of Heather Lane were cut on Dec. 15.
