Sente Staying Strong on Education; Holds Dialogue with Superintendents Focused on Local Schools

Vernon Hills, Ill. - State Representative Carol Sente, D-Vernon Hills, met with area superintendents to learn more about the issues affecting local school districts on Thursday morning.

"Our dialogue was very fruitful, as it allowed us to identify the impact various legislative proposals would have on local school districts if they are brought before the General Assembly this spring, as well as solutions to local education issues," Sente said. "Maintaining an ongoing dialogue with educational professionals is a top priority of mine, as it helps us to maintain strong educational standards in our community and ensure that Illinois children are presented with the best opportunities to succeed later in life."

Sente meets semi-annually with the superintendents of House District 59 to discuss issues of importance to local school districts. To further the conversation, Sente plans to host an Education Citizens' Advisory Committee Meeting in January of 2015, so all members of the community can share their thoughts relating to education.

For more information, please contact Sente's full-time constituent service office at (847) 478-9909, or email RepSente@gmail.com.
