Apple Store in Naperville reports $10,000 in merchandise stolen

Four men reportedly stole more than $10,000 of merchandise from an Apple Store in Naperville

Police officers responded to a theft last week at the Apple Store, 120 W. Jefferson Ave., in downtown Naperville.

An Apple employee called police at 11:42 a.m. Dec. 18 to report that four men entered the store, grabbed more than $10,000 of merchandise and fled without paying for the items.

“The complainant reported that four black males, about 20 years of age, entered the store and removed 13 iPhone 6 (models) and one iPad mini and then ran out the front door,” said Sgt. William Davis of the Naperville Police Department.

Davis said, according to a witness, the four men got into a silver vehicle, possibly an Audi or Saab. The vehicle and subjects were not located by officers.

Video from the scene is being reviewed and the case is currently under investigation. Anyone with further information is requested to contact the police department investigations section at 630-420-6726 or Naperville Crime stoppers at 630-420-6006.
