The first two Su-27SKs and two Su-30s for the TNI-AU arrived aboard the Antonov transports directly from Russia. The Su-30 serialled "TS-3001" is seen here during the unloading process. (Photo: Serka Eko Edi/Dispen AU)

After being put together and inspected by a team of Russian technicians, the Su-27SK "TS-2701" is seen while being readied for the first flight. (Photo: Pentak Iswahjudi)

Above and bellow: a series of close-up photographs showing the front section of the Su-30 "TS-3001" inside a hangar at Iswahyudi AB. Note the thin yellow outline of the red serial, and the isnignia of the 11 Skvadron above it! (all three photos: Griffin, copyright ACIG.org=

Above and bellow: Iswahyudi is the main base for Indonesian fighter force, and here the squadrons equipped with F-5s and F-16s are also based. These two photos show the F-16A TS-1602 inside the hangar and rolling for take-off. Despite the embargo on spare-parts supply imposed by the USA the Indonesian F-16-fleet remains operational. This F-16A, serialled TS1611 was seen parked outside the hangar - and without the engine. Probably, the plane is waiting for the engine to be repaired or for some other kind of maintenance.

Our correspondent photographed also this Hawk T.Mk.53 of the TNI-AU.
