| NK100 was the CAG-aircraft of the VF-1 Wolfpack, the first USN unit that became operational with F-14A. The squadron was embarked aboard USS Enterprise (CVN-65) during several crusies starting from 1975.

| In 1987 the VF-21 was aboard the USS Constellation when the unit was involved in the US escort operations for re-flagged Kuwaiti tankers, in the Persian Gulf.
