Top K-pop girl group 2NE1 has announced to release a new single this Thursday and embark on a new world tour next year.
2NE1 will release their new tune “I Miss You” (translated title) this Thursday at 12 a.m. KST, starting the second-ever world concert tour in Seoul next March, the hugely popular K-pop act announced through their official blog on Monday.
“We’re going to meet our fans around the world starting in Seoul to China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Japan and more,” said member Bom in the video clip organized as a press conference.
“The song matches well with late night so we decided to unveil it at night,” member Dara explained about the reason of releasing the upcoming tune at midnight, “I cried so bad when recording the song that I used a whole box of tissues.”
Raising the bar of their new tune in three months, Bom added that, “You will feel that the tune cried our hearts out when listening to it.”
The special duo, dubbed “Double Park,” also released a teaser clip of “I Miss You” at the end of the presser, featuring a chorus of four 2NE1 members standing around a black car in drifting snow.
However, the duo said they had no idea about when a new EP or studio album will roll out.
