While the London Olympics -- less than two months away -- are a massive undertaking, the Winter Games in Sochi, 18 months later, will redefine a city and a region, and require the greatest building project ever associated with an Olympics. The city on the Black Sea coast, known as a summer resort, will, organizers hope, be transformed into a winter sports haven against the backdrop of economic challenges, security concerns and sporting demands on the country.
