The remaining I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! campmates have reflected on Annabel Giles's departure from the show last night (December 1).

The former model became the first celebrity to be voted out of this year's series, after spending ten days in the jungle.


Westlife star Kian Egan admitted that he found her exit "a bit upsetting", as she "really didn't want to leave". He suggested that she should have received one of the immunity tokens in recent days.

Emmerdale 's Lucy Pargeter praised Giles, adding that she is a "very smart, quick and no-nonsense lady".

Vincent Simone - who entered the camp with Giles - was reduced to tears by her departure.

He said: "I didn't think I was going to be this upset. The fact that me and Annabel joined the camp together obviously made us closer together. Nobody will ever know what it's like to be in that situation."


"It's like somebody's died," said David Emanuel, noting the sombre atmosphere.

Alfonso Ribeiro added that he had "no idea" how he would cope as he wanted to be the first to leave the series.

"I was hoping when it was down to Annabel and I that it would be I. I think I've made it very clear that I want to see my son. Am I okay? Of course not," he said.
