The US Olympic Committee has finally confirmed that AT&T, title sponsor of the Williams Formula One team, has extended its sponsorship agreement.
News of the deal, believed to be worth slightly over US$20 million over four years, was first broken in November, but was only confirmed by the US Olympic Committee following its quarterly board meeting.
The partnership is an extension of a deal signed in November 2005. Over the last four years, as part of its contract, AT&T has also backed US Olympic Team trials, as well as exhibitions of various sports.
